Comment: This lake is cooler then most with Smith Mountain Lake dumping water in from the dam. Also a local power company releases water from the lake every two hours which goes into the Stanton River. Therefore the water gets turned alot. It offers great Large and Small mouth fishing. Not much recreation use on this lake yet, mostly fishing.
