I went fishing here June 5, 2010. Mainly on a scouting trip for places to fish near home. I located this lake from maps and then found the exact location earlier this spring during another scouting trip. The lake is part of the Vir. Dept of Game and inland fisheries lakes. much of the information is in the 2010 fishing guidelines manual.
While I was out fishing on ther lake I saw many fish from small bluegill and crappie to small schools of largemouth swimming around. I even saw a large pike swimming from the shallows to the deep along the bank of one of the coves I investigated. I even saw another large fish that one of the assistants at the boat rental place called a grass carp. I came across many turtles and even a large snapping turtle. I thoughly enjoyed myself even though I did not catch anything the many forms of wildlife observed kept me busy. I was a very good day out in my eyes.
