I spent a lot of time here last summer.
This place contains some really nice carp. Ive seen 30lb+ carp dancing with humongous bass in just 2ft of water. Ive heard of a 35lb carp that was caught in a tourney one year and everything I've had has been 16lb+ and great fun to play. Ive had my best results using a chod rig and believe it or not, I've only ever caught on boilies here.
Some cons are the pedestrians and the small talk. Also there is a very steep landing area, so wear your sneakers. (If its damp out, don't bother lol) There are huge weedy snags in the deeper parts of the lake but other than that its a beautiful lake with some beautiful carp well worth the challenge.

Brookline Reservoir Description
This little 18-acre pond has a maximum depth of 43 feet and an average depth of 12 feet. Public access is excellent as the pond is located within a city park and there is a paved road around the entire shoreline. Boats are unnecessary due to the pond’s small size; casters can reach virtually all portions of the pond from shore. The Brookline Police Patrolman’s Association is responsible for the fishing at this reservoir; hence there is almost always a law enforcement presence and all fishing regulations — particularly the trout limit — are strictly enforced. Fish: largemouth bass, chain pickerel, brown bullhead, yellow perch, white perch, pumpkinseed, American eel, common carp, and golden shiner. Stocked trout are also present during part of the year.
Aquatic vegetation is scant and the water has fair transparency.
This is a local fishing spot, and due to its small size and relative infertility, it can produce only limited numbers of game and panfish. They are generally of small average size. The pond is very well suited to “put and take” trout management, however, and is stocked every spring, usually with rainbow trout. Fishing pressure is high during the stocking season, and most of the trout are caught by June. If this pond is on your list, plan to hit it in April or May for best results for Trout.
